Scientists have created a new type of cell that is capable of healing paralyzed people 1 to 2 weeks after their accident. These cells are called Embryotic stem cells. Being able to accomodate their growth to any organ helps them regrow other cells in the dmaged spine, which is where their injected.

The purpose of this stem cell implant is to have those who are paralyzed due to a spinal injury (no duh!) feel and move once again.
They will conduct the experiment on a person who has been paralyzed seven to 14 days after their injury. They will inject the stem cells into the spine hoping to begin the regrowth of the damaged nerve cells.
