Cars Running on Watermelons?

Click on the title above to read how scientists propose meeting our needs for fuel. What suggestion do they give? How will this be useable by cars? Will it solve all of our fuel problems?

IF CARS COULD RUN ON WATERMELONS IT WOULD BE MUCH EASY FOR PEOPLE THEY WOULD HAVE TO BUY GAS ALL THE TIME♥

IF CARS COULD RUN OFF OF WATERMELONS LIFE WOULD BE GREAT PEOPLE WOULDN'T HAVE 2 BUY GAS ALL THE TIME. SOMETIMES IT'S VERY HARD FOR PEOPLE.

They are suggesting that we can use watermelon juice as an biofuel. You can put this ethanol in your car instead of putting gas into it. It won't solve all the fuel problems because there isn't an unlimited amount of watermelons.

i think thats pretty cool but some deciding factors of the fuel source are how fast it can run, how much mpg, if its flammable, if we can some how get it ourselves, and seeds or no seeds (HaHa).

p.s. ill call you ms. flower

Every year we leave 1 out of five watermelons behind because of irregular shapes or bruises. In 2007 we left 360,000 metric tons behind in the United States. If we can convert the sugars in the watermelons to ethanol, we will have a new source of gas for cars and we will have lowered air pollution.

They have suggested using watermelons for fuel, which would help us not have to buy gasoline all the time, but there aren't enough watermolns

we could turn them into biofeul, we can turn them into ethanolalso known as alchahol which can be used as gas this will only be a small step to help but it is the face of the future Graham Humphries

I think it is a brilliant idea. If possible it could help global warming, pollution, and so much more. It could also save tons of money, maybe leading us out of this reccession. (:

We should use watermelon juice as biofuel, you could use it instead of gas, and no it won't solve all fuel problems, watermelons won't save the world.

the unwanted watermaelon which contains sugar can be fermented into ethanol. ethanol is an alternative fuel for cars. this will solve the fuel problem, or help just a little.

they suggest we can use it it for fuel by using it as ethanol but it will not solve all of our problems because their is not enough and everybody wouldnt start using it because it would probably cost alot

It would be great if we could use watermelons for gasoline. Kody Cage 4th Period

I THINK IT WOULDN'T BE SUCH A GOOD IDEA BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE ARE ALERGICT TO WATERMELON, AND GET A SICK FELLING IF THEY SMELL IT. PAYING FOR WATERMELON IS JUST LIKE PAYING FOR GAS, BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO BYE THE WATERMELON TO PUT IN THE TANK FOR THE CAR TO RUN.JASMYN N JOHNSON 4TH PERIOD. "THE CLASS WITH ALL THE BAD STUDENTS."

The sugar from unused watermelons can be converted to ethanol. This can be used for biofuel. Our cars could be fueled with basically sugar from a watermelon. Maybe this will help gas prices go down.

Watermelons can fuel our cars. The sugar from a left over melon can be used to make biofuel. I hope watermelon fuel is cheaper than normal fuel. This would even help our farmers.

They say we can use watermelons' juice as fuel for cars. We could use the ethanol from the juice to put in the cars. I don't think this will solve our gas problem. If we try we will need a lot of watermelons.
