I ran across this video and was amazed by the talent of the elephant. Why do you think he is able to excel at his talent? Is his brain or body different from the other elephants'? Watch the following video and tell me how you feel about this amazing creature.

WOW! that was really cool! that elephant must be real smart to be able to do that! i think that god made that particular elephant smart for a good reason! i probably couldn't even paint that good! :]
luv ya,
erin :]
that elephant is way cool. i think his brain is diffrnt and special. i wunder if he can draw me?

That was really interesting! As I was researching more about these artistic elephants, it seems to be that they are taught by trainers who teach them to hold the brush with their snouts. Even so, the trainers don't actually teach them what to draw, just how to draw it. So that elephant really does have talent!
-Maggie Sylvester
I can't even draw that well!!

That was so cool. That elephant is a great painter.

i believe if this elephant is capable of this others must be also. i think he owes alot to the trainer. i believe animals are capable of great things if a trainer or owner spends enough time with them. this just proves you can train animals to do great things.
Are you kidding me? That elephant is amazing. If it could do math, it would be my private tudor:):)

This elephant probally wasn't born being able to paint something that awesome, he probally had lots and lots of practice. Just like us humans. This elephan is probally just the same as others, exept not all elephents get to paint. and Now I really want that painting!

To start off wow!
amazing video:]
I believe that the elephant might
have trained a little bit, but still possibly just a little bit smarter than all the other elephants.
I also think that he could possilby have a bigger brain and a vvvveeeerrrryyyy steady trunk..
i mean did you see that stroke?
Kelli:]
The elephant has prbaly been trained for many years
austin cox
WOW!!! That was a MIRACLE! That elephant can paint better than i can. I think that the elephant was able to paint that amazing painting because of its high IQ and aposable trunk.
~Paul Ochs~
well in my opinion animals can be as girted as humans but this elephant was probably trained on how to use different methods this elephant might have also grown up around trainers who paint pics and the elephant learned from that. But for now hes just might be the next Picasso -Courtney 5th hour
That elephant can draw better than me! His brain and body might be different from the other elephants, but i just think he has a God given talent to draw.
-Taylor Hill
That elephant is a genius!! He was able to think of what other elephants looked like and turn it into a painting. But the reason is because of his body i believe that all animals can do that but just need to learn the hand eye codination.

Wow i am so amazed!! i think that elephants are smart but this one is more than smart he is an artist. his brain is probally diffrent than other elephants and that is why he can do that and he probally had some help before. sarah dulaney posted this.
That was really cool! The elephant probably excels at drawing because it's had extensive training, however I'm sure its brain is more developed than average elephants.

The elephant must be very well trained to have that much control of the brush and to draw that pattern that looks like and elephant and a flower. I would have thought the elephant would have pushed the brush all over the canvas and just painted, not that he or she would have drawn a specific picture. The flower was a nice touch

I think that is the most amazing thing i have ever seen! I have no idea how and elephant could devolop a talent to do that!

elephants are trully my fav.animal. Elephants are one of the biggest brain animals. They have great memory to. like on time. at west monroe zoo, a baby elephant came in to our zoo, and it got pared with a mama elephant. They really hung out. Then the baby got shipped to another zoo. well SEVEN years passed and the moma got chranced ford to the same zoo. and right when she arrived the two ran togther.and couldn'y be seperated.

I think their bodies & brains are the same. I think this elephant was trained.
Dylan Wilkinson
I think he is a very good artist. He probally was trained to do that, but that had to take a lot of time to learn that. It is really cool the way that he can make a stroke and then trace it. He amazes me. I'm glad you posted that video.
Skylar Antley

i thought that was cool!!!!!!!!!!
from:DYLAN WILKINSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW!!!!
That was sooo coool!!
I think that the elephant was ableto excel his talent by being taught and trained to hold the brush in his trunk and to keep it like that.
I think his brain is different because usally elephants dont do that kind of stuff and that elephant was really smart!
His body could be different cause the way he controlled his trunk!
That is the coolest elephant ever!!
:)))))
-asja jordan 6th hour^_^
