Different parts of the brain have different functions?

Last week I asked you to choose one part of the brain and describe its function. This week, instead of giving you a video, I will provide you with text. The following website is very informational and includes content on many parts of the brain and some fun knowledge as well. Visit the site and include 3 science facts you learned while reading the information.

The brain is 2% of our body's weight!! The 2 hemispheres communicate through corpus callusom or a bundle of nerve cells!! 100 billion nerve cells and trillions of glia or support cells are located in the brain!!

the brain's weight counts for only a small portion of our weight. corpus callusom means a bundle of nerve cells. there are about 100 billion nerve cells in our brain.

Our brain weighs about 1 pound, a stegosauruses brain is .oo4% of its total body mass, and that the hippocampus controls our memory. I really didnt think that our brains were that complex.

Our bodies are the greatest machine ever created. Thanks, God. The brain, looks kinda bland, but the funtions it performs with billions of cells and trillions of support cells is amazing. The brain is small in size as compared to our entire body. That makes it even more amazing.
